MACARENA TABJA
(Lima, 1980)

Macarena Tabja is a Communications and Advertising major from University del Salvador (Buenos Aires), a photographer and Master in Documentary Photography from Centro de la Imagen (Lima). She also has a Visual Anthropology diploma (Centro de la Imagen, Lima). Her work focuses on human behavior, street photography and personal projects.
She has had two solo exhibitions and participated in various collectives. She has been selected for Alex Webb and Rebecca Norris Finding Your Vision Oaxaca, for Centro Selva Arte y Ciencia residence (Pucallpa), a collective workshop with Chilean collective (B)alpo, for Selfportrait through Archive workshop organized by the Spanish Cultural Center and has won a USAID scholarship for the Photos for Change workshop. Her work has been published in national media and NPR (National Public Radio, USA). She is a member and collaborator at Everydayperu, a project that is part of The Everyday Projects.
